You may have issues with Sage Drive and may want to start again. For example, if users forget the encryption password that is set up, or need to change the data owner. This article explains how to remove Sage Drive and start again from scratch. Further Assistance, you will need to speak to Sage One Support Team
Please follow these steps on the computer at the main site where your data is held.
To remove a company from Sage Drive
Check the Sage Accounts program directory
- Sage Accounts > Help > About > make a note of the program directory path.
Delete the company from the Sage Drive Management Centre
Note: If you've multiple companies shared using Sage Drive, you must remove all companies
Close Sage Accounts > visit https://drive.sage.com/mc/signon > log into the Sage Drive Management Centre using your Sage ID.

- To delete any other companies in the list > repeat step 2.
- Sign out
> close the Internet browser.
You've now removed all company data from the Sage Drive Management Centre and should proceed to the next section.
Delete the Sage Drive files and folders
Note: You must follow the steps below on the computer where your data is held. If you're using a networked version of Sage Accounts, all other users must log out of the data.
- Press the Windows Key
+ R on your keyboard > enter Services.msc > OK.
- Stop the following services:
Tip: To stop a service press the Windows Key
+ R on your keyboard > enter Services.msc > OK > right-click the required service > Stop.
- Sage 50 Accounts Control v22
- Sage 50 Accounts Service v22
- Press the Windows Key
+ R > browse to:
- 32 bit operating system: C:\Program Files\Sage\AccountsServiceV22
- 64 bit operating system: C:\Program Files (x86)\Sage\AccountsServiceV22
- For each of the following files, right-click the file > Delete > Yes.
- Sg50Svc_v22.sqlite3
- Sg50Svc_v22.sqlite3-Shm
- Sg50Svc_v22.sqlite3-wal
Note: If you can't find these files, contact your IT support for further help. - Clear the contents of the following folder:
- 32 bit: C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Sage\SSB\Accounts\Collaborate
- 64 bit: C:\Windows\Syswow64\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Sage\SSB\Accounts\Collaborate
- Clear the contents of the following folder:
- C:\ProgramData\Sage\Accounts\SageDrive
Note: The ProgramData folder maybe a hidden folder. To show hidden folders, in Windows Explorer press Alt > Tools > Folder Options > View > select Show hidden files, folders, or drives > clear Hide extensions for known file types > Apply > OK.
- Close the browser window and start the following services:

+ R on your keyboard > enter Services.msc > OK > right-click the required service > Start.

- Sage 50 Accounts Service v22
You've now removed your companies from Sage Drive. If required, you can now re-upload your data to the cloud.
To upload your data to Sage Drive again, if required
Log in to Sage Accounts using the Manager logon name, and related password if you've set one up.
- File > Set up Sage Drive > I already have a Sage ID > enter your Sage ID email address and password > Sign In.
- Enter your account number and serial number > Register > close the browser.
- Sign in > enter your Sage ID email address and password > Sign In > if prompted, enter the Captcha text > Continue.
- To protect your data, enter an encryption password > confirm your encryption password.
- To agree to the Terms and Conditions > select the check box > Upload data.
Now you've uploaded your data to the cloud, you need to set up any users who you want to access your data. To do this now, click Management Centre or to do it later, click Close.
Any connected devices that were previously connected should now be reconnected to the data. For more information, refer to the following section.
- Open Sage Accounts > from the Select Company window make a note of the Data path for each Sage Drive company.
Note: If the Select Company window doesn't appear, delete the sage.ini file held in, C:\ProgramData\Sage\Accounts\
- Demonstration data > OK > logon as MANAGER with no password.
- Help > About > Program Details > make a note of the Program Directory > File > Exit.
- Stop the following services:

+ R on your keyboard > enter Services.msc > OK > right-click the required service > Stop.
- Sage 50 Accounts Control v22
- Sage 50 Accounts Service v22
- Press the Windows Key
+ R > browse to:
- 32 bit operating system: C:\Program Files\Sage\AccountsServiceV22
- 64 bit operating system: C:\Program Files (x86)\Sage\AccountsServiceV22
- For each of the following files, right-click the file > Delete > Yes.
- Sg50Svc_v22.sqlite3
- Sg50Svc_v22.sqlite3-Shm
- Sg50Svc_v22.sqlite3-wal
- Clear the contents of the following folder:
- 32 bit: C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Sage\SSB\Accounts\Collaborate
- 64 bit: C:\Windows\Syswow64\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Sage\SSB\Accounts\Collaborate
- Delete the following folder:
- C:\ProgramData\Sage\Accounts\SageDrive
Note: The ProgramData folder maybe a hidden folder. To show hidden folders, in Windows Explorer press Alt > Tools > Folder Options > View > select Show hidden files, folders, or drives > clear Hide extensions for known file types > Apply > OK.
- Press the Windows Key
+ R > browse to the data directories you noted in step 1.
- Right click ACCDATA folder > Rename > rename ACCDATA to ACCDATA.old
- Create a new folder and name it ACCDATA
- Start the following services:

+ R on your keyboard > enter Services.msc > OK > right-click the required service > Start.
- Sage 50 Accounts Control v22
- Sage 50 Accounts Service v22
- Open Sage Accounts > select NO DATA FOUND and connect to data held on Sage Drive.
- Repeat step 13 for all companies noted in step 1.
